Shopping carts have arrived at the new Trader Joe's grocery store at 7900 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The red carts are in their corral behind a short wood wall, so you may need to enlarge the photos for a closer look. Even some motorized ride-on shopping carts can be seen inside. There's still a lot of work to finish inside the store, though.

Some readers have asked about the opening date. There has been some confusion because Trader Joe's posted a notice on each of its store location websites to alert customers that those stores would be open on the holiday next Monday, February 21, 2022. As you can see here, there is no way they will be ready to open in three days. There are even some blueprints still laid out for construction workers inside the store.

Really looking forward to this new location opening. It'll be a boost to the nearby businesses and also alleviate the crowding at the current location as well.
