Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School students returning from Labor Day weekend will find a welcome new lunch and after-school dining option a mere block away from campus. The long-awaited opening of Andy's Pizza at 4600 East-West Highway is finally here. A soft opening was apparently held over the weekend, but was not publicized by the local pizza chain until Sunday evening in an Instagram story, perhaps to avoid overwhelming the staff during the dry run.
Those who were lucky enough to try a slice of the New York-style pizza over the holiday give it a rave review. Operating hours of the Bethesda location are 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM Monday through Thursday, 10:30 AM to 12:00 AM Fridays, 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM Saturdays, and 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Sundays. Outdoor patio seating is available, but pizza lovers may prefer the cool AC of the great indoors this week.

Folks were giving it a try on Saturday.

Was this the location of the post-game brawl after-party?
7:18: No, that was Bethesda Metro Center.
Got a large pepperoni for carryout on Saturday night. Very good pizza. Not quite as good as Frank Pepe's in my opinion.
9:40 - Well, no, it wouldn't be as good as Pepe. Very few in the entire nation are. But these are good guys that run a nice business. A Bethesda boy done good.
Ava Robert, don't forget the OLOL community. But I agree, BCC will tear that place up.
Good luck Andy! Hope business is good!
Is this place in the old Booeymonger location?
7:43: Yes.
Thanks!
Good luck, just had a slice.... going to be another interesting Bethesda business to watch.
