Construction begins on new Ourisman Kia dealership in Bethesda (Photos)

Construction is underway outside and inside of a future Ourisman Kia showroom at 6700 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The new showroom will share space with Ourisman Jeep at this dealership in the ground floor of the Adagio condos. This will be the first Kia dealership in Bethesda. It joins Ourisman's other brands downtown here and on Arlington Road: Jeep, Volkswagen and Volvo.

Kia dealership = USB mass theft

It amuses me that "downtown" Bethesda's cheek-to-jowl high-density build-a-palooza, marketed as offering a "walkable alternative" to suburbia, includes Euro Motorcars, plus dealerships for Audi, Jeep, Acura, Honda, VW, and now Kia. For a pedestrian-centric community we sure hawk a lot of cars. Is it possible those apartment and condo developers sold us all a bill of goods, that maybe people still either need or want motor vehicles?

And in ironic double indemnity, we get to suffer these

Maybe 632, but maybe they're buying into the future too. Those downtown EV locations could be gold, and if they're not, then they know what to do.

My biggest issue with these car dealers is their not allowing the car carrier trucks to unload in their property, it must tie up their lots too much but it's ok to block traffic on the roads. The Mercedes dealer on Arlington is the most egregious, one would think they'd have more consideration for their neighbors who ostensibly buy their vehicles!

The second worst is Ourisman Honda who does it on Bradley near the CCT old train bridge. Bad enough over there too, they could never completely block right in front of their place.

Just another example of putting the burden on the 'hood!
