BT's Bethesda "coming soon"

"Coming soon" signage has been posted at the future location of BT's Bethesda at 4866 Cordell Avenue in downtown Bethesda. This has previously been home to Zuma by Chef Ninja and Brickside Food & Drink. The sign promises "Burgers, drinks, and family fun." An Instagram account for the restaurant is now live, as indicated on the sign.

Perhaps JAC would like to continue here his/her streak of commenting on restaurants before they officially open in Bethesda.

Too early to tell but intriguing. A great burger place is definitely needed in this area and likely would attract many. That site is another multiple fail which is always a challenge because the public dismisses not the business but the building itself because it's failed more than once if that makes sense. It's subconscious But this could be a great addition for sure.

Looks like they have one other location in Virginia

5:21 - yeah, I saw that too but wasn't sure if it was the same or not.

10:56 - perhaps I can make any comment that I'd like on this blog, keeping within the guidelines that the blogger has clearly set out for anyone posting here. If you don't like it, I can't help that.

I'm surprised that new restaurants can get the loans that they need to open in this area given the continued failures. I guess maybe the failure rate of non-chain restaurants in Bethesda could be about the same as everywhere else nation-wide though.

Maybe many don't need loans and have plenty of money to throw around. Lots of.money types need these 'write offs,' that's the creative way to spin it.

No, it doesn't make sense. Tell that to Dig.

It does seem like a cursed spot but I think it’s more that there no street access to either business

I agree with JAC, he has the absolute right and moral responsibility to keep embarrassing himself.

The previous tenant was there for at least 10 years, and did pretty well at least when I was there. It drew the office happy hour crowd. then dinner crowd, then sports bar crowd. But many bars just have a life expectancy.. maybe it just ran its course.

Done well, I think this place can succeed. It's a good location.

It was quite funny. Not surprised you got that wrong, too.
