BETHESDA CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: SHOPS OF WISCONSIN RENOVATIONS (PHOTOS)

Douglas Development's extensive property renovations at the Shops of Wisconsin shopping center, located at 6831 Wisconsin Avenue, continues. Best known for its anchor tenant, Trader Joe's, the center is getting a major exterior upgrade.

Why on earth would they paint that building black?! Must cost a fortune to keep the building cool in the summer.

On the other hand the black paint makes it look like the building was burned up....

Thanks @10:16. That certainly looks much more inviting than why is there currently! The black isn't very attractive though. Let's hope the final product works out well.

Hope they get so w restaurants to take advantage of that outdoor space. Activate the block better and give that area some more vibrancy and things to do got the folks that live there!

Quite the slo-mo project. The contractors have shown zero regard for the businesses there trying to survive in the meantime.
