Dominos quietly opened at 4817 St. Elmo Avenue yesterday in downtown Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle neighborhood. A sign out front is featuring something I've never ordered from Domino's - salads. I guess they're worth a try. A large Extravaganzza pizza is my recommended Domino's order.

Chains, chains and more chains. Try Pi Pizzeria. Several stores in several cities but far from major pizza chain. Result? Great atmosphere and really, really good, artisan pizza.
FREE FOOD! FREE FOOD! yells Dyer.

That "OPEN" sign looks like a spanking paddle. And all this time I thought that the founder of Domino's was such an uprighteous Catholic.
That "paddle" is called a peel dope. Go to confession. Bashing Catholics. Shame. Tom Monahan has done more good than your entire family combined. what a sophomoric post
@ 4:22 AM - Here's a Kleenex. Now offer up your whining for the Saints in Purgatory.
If you want to hear His voice, harden not t your heart. Here endth the lesson. Now, go and be a good boy.
Domino's. Roy Rogers. Renovations at Arby's. We are really going places in this area.
Spank me with the paddle!
How dreadful. Especially with President Obama's favorite pizzeria now in town, there is no reason to ever order Domino's. Has the first family ever even mentioned Domino's?
Poppy, that attitude is exactly what is wrong with our country today. But new thinking is on the way, courtesy of Gen X. Change now or be left behind.
SPANK ME DYER! HARDER!!!
^^^Things he wish he wife would say...
Yes, Pi Pizzaria is extremely good. Been there twice already. Not all Dominos stores make it. With at least three pizza shops, or is it four, within walking distance, this one is far from closure proof
This is reminiscent of that Olive Garden review years back. Did you really review a dominos??
@ 9:40 AM, 9:42 AM - Actually the greybeard NIMBYs of Westbard do need to be reminded that Generation X has arrived, and that they are way overdue for change.
Uhh Let me know when pi pizzeria starts delivering pizza to your door and then we'll talk... dominos is not a sit down restaurant last time I checked.
Compaing Dominos to Pi Pizzaria is like apples vs oranges. Yes, at the core they both make pizza. Other than that they are a completely different category of pizza. Dominos is good for delivery, last minute needs, or just cheap pizza. I think the last ad I saw is one topping medium pizza for $6? Pi Pizzaria and other places like it are sit down, offer way better quality food, and alcohol.
However, it is not $6 a medium, it is not cheap, maybe last minute consideration, and not for delivery. Also, if needed I can get Dominos past midnight. And Dominos is a lot better for a kids party than a fancy style pizza.
Pi may consider delivery. I'm taking about the quality not convenience. I'd never sacrifice the former for the latter.
And that's why we're lucky there's a variety to appease most everyone. Enjoy for what each one is. When you go to Grotto's at the beach are you really expecting high-end pizza?
Good point. Nicola is better but after the bars, give me some Grotto.
Nic-o-boli. Yum!
