Bold Bite is scheduled to reopen Saturday, July 2, with new hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
In special tasting dinners, diners have gotten a sneak preview of TapaBar dishes like watermelon and tuna crudo, gazpacho and vieiras a la gallega. The new restaurant is also hiring, with job fairs scheduled for July 5 and July 7 from 1:00-5:00 PM. If you are interested, contact jobs [at] TapaBarBethesda [dot] com.

Looking forward to this. It's not a bar but a restaurant will help activate that corner a bit more. Shame the other spot is a nail salon or whatever.
"Waxing salon". Might as well be a pawn shop or a fortune teller. Another high-class tenant for Greenhill.
780 stores nationwide. Must be doing something right
I really love bold bite and their professional ownership. They did change their hot dogs a bit against my liking, but their chicken sandwiches and other items added to the menu have compensated. Considering Bold Bite was a first attempt from their owner and was done so well, I am very optimistic this venture will be a success. Can't wait to see it open.
As for the wax studio, yeah that's too bad. We likely end up with a revolving door of businesses in that space.
@ 6:21 AM - By that standard, a dollar store or a payday loan store would be an excellent tenant for this location.
Speaking of "juggling hours", why has Dyer not mentioned the earlier weekend closing hours at Barnes & Noble? You'd figure he'd be jumping for joy at the pretext to rant about "Moribund MoCo economy".
It's like how Dyer says Montgomery County is moribund despite its successes.
How come some posts have comments and others don't?
The people behind Bold Bite are professionals and run a good business. I've been going there regularly since they opened (too bad they no longer have late night weekend hours though).
Smart move to use one kitchen for both places to keep costs down. Looking forward to their opening.
He does own a large portion of Bethesda properties. Vacant or high turnover as they may be. I think the vacancies have come down quite a bit though. This tapas place will fill a huge hole in the heart of Woodmont Triangle. Shame the waxing salon isn't something else, but hey it's better than nothing.
Would be interesting to see a report on Karr and Greenhill turnover, vacancies, etc compared to the rest of the market.
