Bold Bite will be moving down Norfolk Avenue early next week to the former Smashburger space at 4903 Cordell Avenue, if all goes according to schedule. Stay tuned for the official opening date.
Expect expanded hours now that they no longer have to share a kitchen with TapaBar. It's unknown yet if the new schedule will include late night hours. 202 Donuts & Coffee will remain on Fairmont Avenue. All 3 highly-rated restaurants are owned by brothers Alonso and Alvaro Roche.

Late night would kill it with TJ's upstairs, but it also means they have to deal with drunk people.
Still no correction on Marriott fake news? How can we trust anything you report?
Bring back the Stinky Kitchen Ventilator!
5:56: Maybe because I've only been wrong once in 10 years, and that was when two stores had the same name spelled differently? There's no tangible evidence that my source was wrong. Even if my source were wrong, it's not "fake news," because it clearly says in the headline and article that I'm reporting what a source has told me. But, again, I haven't seen anything verifiable that my source was wrong. I have seen a handful of politically-motivated haters using Bethesda Magazine articles plagiarized without attribution from my article to claim I'm wrong.
Google news think you are "fake" news
"Even if my source were wrong, it's not "fake news," because it clearly says in the headline and article that I'm reporting what a source has told me."
Yet, according to you, that doesn't apply when Bethesda Beat directly quoted Quincy's owner's explanation for why they abruptly closed several weeks ago.
#Dyer'sDoubleStandards
6:23: No, they don't. Your comment is fake news.
6:31: Has Quincy's reopened? (Hint: No.) #FakeNews
Robert I'm telling you as your enemy to give up on this blog. We are exhausted coming here to correct all the misinformation we believe you spread constantly.
Do you still get free food for reporting on a restaurant when it simply relocates?
They're probably paying an option while they negotiate or pause negotiations to resume later. I'm guessing in that $1M-$2M range. It's a fairly standard thing to do, as neither side is obligated to buy/sell.
Robert Dyer seems to be running a protection racket in my opinion - you'll get great coverage if you provide food, drinks and smiles. But if you somehow DO NOT include him in your opening he will denigrate the establishment and refuse coverage of it.
This is a hostile act that should not be tolerated. Bethesda businesses should not live in fear. #NEVERforgetiPIC #PikeandRose

FIFY.
As predicted, there is the hedge. "My source was wrong, not me"
All other issues aside, to claim you have only ever been wrong once is just so egotistical and blind.
7:37: Now you're lying again. I never said my source was wrong, and I never said I was wrong!
7:39: Argle bargle.
Dyer @ 5:56 AM: "I've only been wrong once in 10 years."
Dyer @ 7:43 AM: "I never said I was wrong!"
Robert, missed you at the opening party for the new REI at Pike & Rose last night. I did however see Hans and Nancy!
#notinvited #sucker
Why don't you verify your sources before posting #FakeNews? Simple journalist basics. Get a grip asshole.
8:37: Just shows that REI needs a new PR firm. REI missed out on all the free publicity they would have gotten on my blog today, if their PR had been smart enough to invite me. Pretty stupid, but according to you, they doubled down on stupid by inviting the County Council. Hope they had extra folks on hand to help them find the doorknob to get out of the store when it was over. Reminds me, I just witnessed Helpless Hans' affordable housing plan get ripped up and thrown in the trash by his colleagues the other day at the Council Building. Another Helpless Hans initiative touted by his friends in the media down the drain!
8:47: Before you leave the Bethesda Magazine office, YOU "get a grip" on "simple journalist basics" like citing me when you steal my reporting for your "story."
I'll be sure to cite the crazy homeless man on the way to work - he'll be more credible than you'll ever be!
Argle bargle = what Dyer says when he has no intelligent reply.
I'm going to have to agree with 7:39.
To claim you have only ever been wrong once is just so egotistical and blind. No matter who tries to claim it, they're lying.
9:15: Okay, just let us know if you need any help holding the mirror up.
9:17: Argle bargle.
@8:51 AM -- "Hope they had extra folks on hand to help them find the doorknob to get out of the store when it was over."
Typical Dyer accuracy -- the doors do not have doorknobs.
Maybe they don't want to be associated with your hot mess. Not all news is good news.
"Maybe they don't want to be associated with your hot mess"
That's actually one of the many reasons BethesdaNOW failed...
Can you explain that, 10:38? Not sure what you mean. Thank you.
Case proven.

12:17 PM Do you have a photo of Dyer framed on your nightstand? Be honest!
That's not Dyer it's Waldo.
Stop peeking in my windows, you perv.
Don't you have enough pictures from all of your #photorrhea posts to show there is not a door knob on REI birdbrain?
Robert: the REI event was a for select members of the co-op and special guests. It sold out, so I guess your "publicity" wasn't needed. Would you even know what to do with a crampon?
5:22: How would you know the details of the event, or that it had "sold out?"
Secondly, the only way REI gets publicity, is by inviting the media. They utterly failed in this instance, and it cost them real money in lost customers who would have seen my report. Also, there are consequences to slapping me in the face like that - do you really think I'll bother writing anything in the future about a business that snubs me and my readers? Hell, no.
Cash me outside, how bou dat?
You will be remembered as a fool robert dyer - thats my opinion and I'm sure a majority would agree with it.
I concur.
So you're saying you are biased. And petty.
Your words will now haunt you forever dyer - you might as well pack it in and move on to do some actual work in your sad little life.
Dyer writes: "Also, there are consequences to slapping me in the face like that - do you really think I'll bother writing anything in the future about a business that snubs me and my readers? Hell, no."
And thus we learn the editorial stance of Bethesda's "news source of record."
ABD -- Anybody but Dyer.
8:35: Not inviting a leading local news website to an event - if there were even media there, which I don't know - is what is "petty."
Love watching this guy talk to himself with each comment written by another one of his multiple personalities. Seriously, we do need more mental health facilities in Montgomery County, and you may be the first patient.
You're damn right there are consequences for snubbing me. As the leading news website in Bethesda, I do have leverage in withholding coverage of anything I want. So go ahead and diss me, but it won't be profitable in the long run.
7:46: Call it a day, Hans. You're embarrassing yourself.
Any news about Kit and Ace?
They are right on Bethesda Row.
10:44PM wrote "Not inviting a leading local news website to an event - if there were even media there, which I don't know "
Why don't you find out the real story before making comments and threats?
3:39: Yep, they closed. They did 2 stupid things in one day: First, they sent out a press release to say they were proud to announce their business had failed, and that they were closing stores, including this one.
Second, they only sent their press release to print news outlets. It's not 1978 anymore. No wonder they went out of business!
3:49: I've made no threats. You were the one who claimed I was excluded from the event, and you also mysteriously seem to know a lot about the planning and details of the event. What's that all about?
Hey Birdbrain! I know the event sold out, because when I tried to add two other people as guests, it I was told "sorry the event is sold out". But instead of getting made like petulant child, I realized it was my own fault for waiting so long to invite more people. I'm sorry you're not one of the cool kids. Are you even a member of the REI Co-op though? Have you ever purchased a single item there? Perhaps this should be a wake-up call that many real, national businesses don't consider you real media?
"Also, there are consequences to slapping me in the face like that - do you really think I'll bother writing anything in the future about a business that snubs me and my readers? Hell, no." - Robert Dyer
That is so petty, biased, self righteous, childish, etc.
5:45: Not self-righteous, just righteous. Hey - you just used the same words in two "different" comments back-to-back, troll. Too low-energy.
Dyer, you didn't answer the questions.
#1 Are you a member of the REI Co-op?
#2 Have you ever actually shopped there?
Both of these could explain why you weren't invited.
#dodgingdyer
5:56: No, I'm not a member, and I've never shopped there. You said I wasn't invited, making it sound like it was something the media was invited to. If it was just for members, why did you even bring it up?
Dyer @4:21 First of all my only comment in this thread was @3:49. This is my 2nd comment. I didn't claim anything and I know nothing about the event.
You DID threaten them by saying this:
"there are consequences to slapping me in the face like that - do you really think I'll bother writing anything in the future about a business that snubs me and my readers? Hell, no."
And I still maintain that you should have/could have found out a few details before dissing REI. Someone would have happily explained it was for the co-op.
Dyer @6:40, I don't think all these people are the same ones, I posted at 5:56, to try and clarify, I did not post early and call you a birdbrain, but I do find it interesting that you often ignore legitimate questions. Sometimes I think people just like to troll you, which I must say can be very entertaining.
He's not wrong here, people
Everyone calm down about how wrong can be sometimes
Look, people make mistakes. Some of use admit them and some don't
Please be nice to Robert
Maybe his source passed along the wrong info.
Everyone makes mistakes
!!
@9:52, do you need help? Are you trapped in the basement? Get out while you can!!
It's rather silly to call Bethesda Magazine a "print news outlet", given that they publish several new articles on their website every day, in real time - whereas their print magazine is published only six times a year.
What would Dyer do if he didn't have them to compare his blog to?
That's most of his shtick.
Legacy traditional print media sounds angry here.
Haters gonna hate.
That is the weirdest lack of connection ever, thinking commentors are from print media. Ha.
It's just Dyer's mom giving her little man his daily atta-boys.
That's what moms do.
