Payless still open at Westfield Montgomery Mall, contrary to rumors
Payless is still open in Bethesda
One of several "fake news" reports floating around last week was that Payless was supposedly closing its store at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. That is not true. In fact, the shoe retail chain is telling customers at regional stores which actually are closing that they should shop at the Bethesda store from now on. The rumors of the demise of Payless at Montgomery Mall have been greatly exaggerated.

Who misreported it? Was it really fake news or just bad intel? Fake news is intentional dissemination of false information.
An example of #FakeNews would be Dyer's claim that use of bike trail safety funds to make the CCT's intersection with Little Falls Parkway, is "misuse of funds for an illegal road diet".
Hopefully the "reporter" will file a retraction and not simply delete the fake tweets and story.
Can we get rid of "fake news"? And while we're at it "penultimate" and "pivot" too? And "transparency."
