Bethesda construction update: 2nd District police station (Photos)

The future Montgomery County 2nd District police station finally has a facade. Glass has been installed, as well as the front doors on Rugby Avenue at Del Ray Avenue. The east side of the building has the prison/fortress-style design, while the bulk of the front facade looks like an office building. You can see a lot of work still has to be done inside, and to connect the front doorway to the sidewalk grade.

Have you bothered to ask the new 2nd District Commander about your accusation that "Montgomery County has recently intentionally deleted block numbers from crime incident data for unknown reasons."

I didn't think so.

Note: Robert Dyer has intentionally deleted suitable comments from his blog for unknown reasons

7:43 AM Seems like it's a factual statement. Either they include block numbers or not. If they're not including them, then presumably it is intentional since this is the "new & improved" crime data.

Seems like we all agree that MoCo should include block numbers in their crime data.

3:13 - BB is somehow able to publish multiple breaking detailed reports on local crime each day. Why can't Dyer do the same? He went two weeks without publishing even one crime article. He wants the MoCo Cartel to hand him everything on a silver platter.

4:00pm Man, you're pimping Bethesda Magazine hard. Hope you're getting paid for your work or are the publisher himself.

5:17 really You are missing the point completely. Trolls are just using any point they can because they disagree with robert in general. Not this or any specific issue. And you keep falling for it over and over again especially if you believe the troll works for BM.

Wow this police station falls way short of the original renderings and presentations. What an eyesore of a building.

I see that’s new vertical double sided, marque sign was installed recently. Looks king of nice, but very large for a fairly small building. Not sure if it feels “municipal” to me...
