Here's a look at the latest progress on the renovation of the plaza at Bethesda Place at 7701 Woodmont Avenue. What's new? Seating areas that include tables and chairs, and much of the landscaping work. Some of the plantings still have growing to do.

Any word if they intend to put back the stretched tensile fabric panels for the shade structure over the stage that was part of the former Discovery Channel. That was a nice festive looking amenity and certainly more functional than purple and teal paint, if only used to cover some outdoor seating. Otherwise, it looks like a big improvement.
The Pancake House needs to replace those nasty old stained canvas awnings.
