Inflation is hitting hard in even wealthy areas like Bethesda, on everything from groceries to gasoline. Restaurants are not immune. Mamma Lucia has posted a sign at its 4916 Elm Street location to alert diners that inflation has caused the price of menu items to slightly increase. It says those higher prices are not yet reflected on their printed menu, and that newly-printed menus will be arriving in the near future, thanking diners for their support.

Inflation was significantly slowing per the data reported on Friday. Restaurants are opportunistic. If this wasn't an issue for them 6 months ago, there is no reason it should be one for them now.

Answer for the shortsighted: That EV along with your Starbucks coffee and virtually all menu items at EVERY SINGLE RESTAURANT are delivered from origin to processor to warehouse to distributors and many times directly to the restaurant by DIESEL TRUCK. Many items flown in to BWI and transferred by truck to the Maryland Food Center in Jessup for distribution, by truck, to area restaurants.
Conclusion: Democrat policies continue to wreak havoc especially in the energy sector so while they're sipping $7 espressos and eating organic whatever flown in from California, in the real world people are suffering. November can't come soon enough.
