First look: Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams Bethesda Row update and menu

Here is the first glimpse of the completed interior at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, opening soon next to Mamma Lucia at 4918 Elm Street at Bethesda Row. The awning has also been attached to the storefront.
I have a preview of the menu below, as well. As you can see, the limited-time flavors are already posted, and I am pleased to report most of them are holiday-themed. Stay tuned for an opening date, which looks like it could be any minute now.

They need an ice cream place in Bethesda Row. Hope they make it. Too bad there’s no mainstream theater there. The area could really use it to draw more crowds. Maybe Woodmont Triangle could get a theater and start to become a destination too? Any property big enough?

Isn't that Thai 420 ice cream place basically across the street?

Who opens an ice cream place in the dead of winter?

7:10AM - Someone with ice cream as good as Jeni's.
Check out my suggestions...give it a try. :)

Actually it’s still fall. Winter doesn’t start until December 21 and the dead of winter would be 1.5 months later, or around February 10, so shut up and go get an ice cream cone.

Yes, Bethesda is already quite rich in frozen dessert shops, with Hagen Daaz, Dolchezza, Class 520, Yogaberry, Henry’s Sweet Retreat and soon Jeni’s Splendid Splendid Creams. All these are great for a treat while strolling downtown, and really do define a pedestrian friendly environment.

Hagen Daaz is still open? That’s great to hear. I should go to landmark more often.

I believe it is class 520. 420 is at your local dispensary

I'm often critical of Mr. Dyer, but this time I have to admit - he got the scoop.

And he will get the scoop :-)
