When Amazon Books unexpectedly closed its doors for "updates" at Bethesda Row in late October, the question on everyone's minds was, for what? Now that the store reopened over the weekend, I have the answers. According to an Amazon employee, the primary changes were to enlarge the tech section of the store - including the Ring security products display, the WiFi signal is improved, books have been moved further out, and the magazine section is now a wall display.

Thanks for the update.
I find it a bit fascinating to see how Amazon merchandises their products when they have complete control. We all know how they dominate the online world, but to see how the try to compete in a brick and mortar environment is very interesting to me. At their own store, they can feature their connected home technology in a much cleaner and distraction-free environment than Best Buy. In some ways, it seems like they might morph into something like an Apple store, with highly curated merchandising and demonstrations of complicated tech. Not sure most folks care about a doorbell with a video camera, until they actually see how useful they might be.
No customers?
5:22AM I find it interesting too. Especially as they tweak their stores to better serve the demand, a demand that no one can currently define. How will they change their stores after the holiday season?
Robert are you out of your very so called genius mind?
Why are you promoting Amazon? People say Jeff Bozo owns Amazon and the Washington Post. The WoPo has been really mean to our Leader.
Basically you are giving free advertisement to our Leader’s enemy. Or so people are saying.
Now I could tell you to punch yourself, but I won’t.
"Our Leader"? Ptui!
Is that new cover art for Harry Potter? BLASPHEMY!
