Jeni's Ice Creams opens at Bethesda Row (Photos)

Here's the first look inside Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, which opened yesterday at 4918 Elm Street at Bethesda Row, next to Mamma Lucia. Customers split up between those being served for custom orders at the counter, and those buying ready-packed ice cream pints, which are available in a standalone freezer.

Opening in the winter will test their viability.

Did you actually buy anything or just take loiter?

Fellas, fellas (5:18, 5:47)-- is "hate-reading" this blog really necessary for you?
You took an entirely non-political report on ice cream, the stuff of childhood and innocence, as an invitation to unload pints of Snark Supreme and Toffee Troll.

6:28AM - ok, that was chuckle-inducing. :)
But...5:18 AM is headed down the business viability route. not seeing that as "hate-reading."
5:47AM is indeed snark, but also a tad amusing
6:15AM is rather cringe-worthy, but I think I remember that guy in 1960's Bethesda.

Oh. Today's recommendation?
Middle West Whiskey and Pecans.
Mmmmmm.

5:47: First you've got to explain what "take loiter" means, Einstein.

Thanks 10:50. Thought so. I'm pretty good at those find-the-differences puzzles, like the Post's Second Glance and they looked the same.
