Let's check in at the construction site of Carr Properties' 7272 Wisconsin Avenue development, featuring The Wilson office tower and The Elm residential tower. The Elm is now offering hard hat tours for prospective residents. Meanwhile, out front at The Wilson, you can see the bump-out jewel box lobby entrance on Wisconsin.
The Wilson is now fully-leased before it has even opened, in spite of Montgomery County's continuing inability to attract a single major corporate headquarters in a quarter-century. Anchor tenant here will be TV station Fox 5.

Is there a reason that they decided to make these Apartments instead of Condos?
It's nearly 500 units. It'd take a decade to sell that many units. That's just not how construction loans work.
Maybe.... But how does that explain why there's any large Condo buildings that exist?
There aren't. At least I'm unaware of any 500 unit condo buildings in the DC area.
