Former EagleBank building for lease in Bethesda

The former EagleBank building at 7815 Woodmont Avenue is on the market for lease in downtown Bethesda. It has a lower level currently built out as a bank branch, but there is also 4664 SF of office space on the second level that can be leased separately. In fact, Shipshape IT had recently been the tenant upstairs.

The lower level also includes conference room space, and the building comes with a 9-space private parking lot, a major perk in downtown Bethesda. AMR Commercial on Rugby Avenue is listing the property.

I wonder if the listed 3-5 year term is an indicator of the redevelopment timeline?

Good point! That block had two conceptual plans submitted to the Design Review Board, but they did not move forward. The planning staff indicated the southern end of the block was intended to become an expansion to Veterans Park, and requested that the two primary land owners work together to coordinate a development plan. The county has since purchased two lots on that block that might be used to build the park, or to swap with a developer for a more ideal parcel. I still contend that the park should be expanded to the north and west, and remain a single contiguous parcel, and not two bifurcatied parks.
