Amazon Fresh Chevy Chase store signage installed in Friendship Heights

Amazon Fresh
signage has been installed on the new grocery store at the Collection at Chevy Chase in Friendship Heights. The signage installation came a day after former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin spaceflight. Shopping carts for the long-awaited but secretive store arrived several weeks ago. Another Amazon Fresh store is now under construction in Gaithersburg.

No opening date yet. There must be some unbelievable tech in that building because that's the longest grocery store build out ever in this area. They could have built 3 Giant stores from the ground up in that time. The line will be down the block with folks trying this out. When all that madness lets up, I'll be a shopper. Amazon gets a lot of grief but they trailblaze industries and shake them up. Do all your shopping and skip the entire check out process which is always slow? Game changer.

Bozos and Fauci are criminals who became rich over this pandemic. Bring back Giant

Prepackaged plastic bin packaging and underpaid workers who have to pee in jars

Ain’t our new America great
We are right back to the robber baron factory line workers

All the naysayers and Amazon haters will be staying home. Good, less people in the store and more room for us. The description of this store serving prepackaged plastic bin packaging (what the hell does that even mean) doesn't know the first thing about what Amazon is offering here. Like the name says, they'll sell fresh goods, Whole Foods comparable fruit, milk, eggs, meats, etc, etc, etc. This isn't a crappy convenience store but a full scale, full service grocery store. Be negative and stay home.

Fauci a criminal? Where do these crazy ideas originate?

It’s my understanding that the zoning for this location requires a “full service grocery store.” Amazon fresh clearly does not qualify, especially considering the demographics of Friendship Hts.: high rise buildings full of seniors. Watch for a lawsuit from the famously litigious residents of Chevy Chase Village. I live within walking distance of this store [in DC] and I doubt I will ever shop there.
