Levain Bakery at Bethesda Row update (Photos)

Two more logo signs have been installed at Levain Bakery, opening soon at 4844 Bethesda Avenue at Bethesda Row. One is a pedestrian-facing blade sign outside the store; the other is a hand-drawn "Levain Bakery Bethesda" logo on the wall behind the front counter inside, with artwork painted below it. Look carefully in the background of that photo (directly below), and you will see a dough mixer and cookie baking ovens now in-place.

I went to the Georgetown outlet yesterday morning and spent over $100 on these cookies. The Bethesda Row sidewalk will be impassable for the customers passed out in diabetic comas. This is going to be a suburban opium den. I am prepared to meet my fate.

Best post in months. It's about time someone came to the DC area who can make cookies and other baked goods so incredible that lines form down the block. Good, let them eat cookies. People will be complaining soon about the sidewalk nuisance it's happened before. Welcome Levain!
