Planta applies for liquor license at Bethesda Row

Planta
, the new plant-based restaurant coming soon to Bethesda Row, has applied for a liquor license from Montgomery County. A hearing on the application before the liquor control board has been scheduled for October 21, 2021 at 1:30 PM.

Planta is taking over the space at 4910 Elm Street, which was previously home to Cafe Deluxe. It had been expected to open this summer, but that has now been pushed to fall.

This place is going to be such a ripoff. Just look at the Downloadable PDF's of the Menus for the West Palm Beach location: https://plantarestaurants.getbento.com/location/pwestpalmbeach/

$13.75 for "Bang Bang Broccoli"?
$15.75 for a "Spicy Tuna Roll"?
$19.95 for a "Planta Burger"?
$19.95 for "Lettuce Wraps"?
$24.50 for "Udon Noodles"?

Absolute insanity. Udon Noodles and a cocktail will set you back over $40 after Tax and Tip..... For noodles! There are so many other places once can go in MoCo for better food at a much better price. Seriously, I'd be ashamed to tell anyone that I paid almost $25.00 for Udon Noodles.

I love vegan, plant-based tuna.

@1:31 PM: Everything about that sounds revolting.

It's literally the best food I ever had on South Beach and worth every cent for date nights and special occasions. It's going on the perfect area for the right clientele
