A rare armed robbery in the Westbard area of Bethesda drew an early-morning police response Friday, November 12, 2021. The robbery was reported at an apartment building in the 5300 block of Westbard Avenue at 3:30 AM. A firearm was the weapon employed in the robbery, according to crime data. The Residences at Capital Crescent Trail is located on that block of Westbard Avenue.
