Crane operations close lanes on Wisconsin Avenue near Leland St. in Bethesda (Photos)

Crane operations at a construction site on Wisconsin Avenue (MD 355) is closing lanes near Leland Street at this hour. Southbound lanes are entirely blocked. Traffic headed south is being directed into part of the northbound lanes at this time. The operations appear to be for a tower crane assembly at the 7000 Wisconsin apartment building project site.

It will probably be very similar to the tower crane assembly at Marriott HQ back in 2019:

A tower crane has been assembled, and is now working at the construction site of The Astrid at 5151-5159 Pooks Hill Road in Bethesda. Two 160' tall apartment towers are under construction. They will hold a total of 631 apartments, 15% of which will be affordable MPDUs. The Astrid is named for Princess Astrid, who stayed with other members of the Norwegian royal family in the now-demolished castle of Merle Thorpe on his Pook's Hill estate during World War II.
