Elrich holds lead in Montgomery County election results, Blair closes deficit by 19 votes
Challenger David Blair slightly narrowed the gap between himself and incumbent Marc Elrich in the latest election results in the Democratic race for Montgomery County Executive. Elrich sustained his lead with 51,883 votes (39.28%) to Blair's 51,729 votes (39.16%) on Wednesday. But the gap between Elrich and Blair shrank by 19 votes, from a difference of 173 votes in Tuesday's count, to 154 votes in yesterday's tally. Stay on the edge of your seats, folks, as no votes will be counted today. Counting will resume Friday at 10:00 AM at the Germantown campus of Montgomery College.

Who votes for a billionaire? I would not, but my neighbors might.
Let the world know, MoCo says lock him up.
Absolutely incredible that Elrich is even close. The man destroyed the MoCo economy with Covid policies driven by unfounded hysteria. He's prevented the police department from doing its job effectively and it's no surprise that crime is now rampant in MoCo, and who can forget the sanctuary policies of his that resulted in the series of rapes and assaults. He deserves to be called Moribund Marc Elrich.
I don't recall any candidate for any office in MoCo running on a law & order platform this year.

I voted for Blair, but this is some really dumb hyperbole. Economically, the county is exactly where it was pre-pandemic: full employment, rising household incomes, rising home values. And the 2020 crime spike was a national issue and obviously had nothing to do some nobody from MoCo. You're giving Marc Elrich - one random, barely relevant CE - way too much credit. He can't move the needle on most anything important one way or another.

It's amazing you believe all that, but I'm not surprised.
Oh, and you didn't address the series of Sanctuary Policy Rapes:

I guess since he ultimately changed his policy on that, perhaps you should rethink your statement that "He can't move the needle on most anything important one way or another". He's actually quite a relevant CE. A number of administration officials, justices and their families live in MoCo because of its proximity to DC. His policies directly affect their safety and quality of life, as it does for the rest of us here. Unfortunately, his wokeness takes precedence over our safety. That's why I conceal carry here. I refuse to put my safety on the line because of his failing and failed policies.
@6:06 AM We know what happened the last time people voted for a "Billionaire", he's still like a bad case of long-haul covid. Can't shake him yet.
7:51 has chronic TDS and is rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
Good economy under Trump = Bad
Bad Economy + Recession, (despite your parties redefining of the word), under Brandon = Good
Another "81 million vote" term for your party and we'll be back in the stone age.
@1:58 PM: Keep in mind that stones are now smaller than they used to be given inflation. Thanks Brandon!
