Wow, that's a horrible soffit installation! An experienced architect would specify a skim coat of exterior grade plaster to hide those nasty taped exterior drywall joints. The indirect lighting bouncing off the ceiling doesn't help.
Otherwise the nearly completed renovation looks good.
