The newly-constructed retail section at Cabin John Village in Potomac has opened to the public. It includes a new street with fresh paving and curbside parking. Yard after yard of new storefronts are lit up, awaiting new tenants. The addition is part of a massive update of the property, which included adding residential housing behind the retail area, and punching out several storefronts to create this connecting street and additional retail space.

As a result, parking is much more of a pain. That used to be parking. They should have put these in the back of the center where the parking was usually empty.
Any guess on how long it will take some teenage vandals to permanently bend those slender metal bars, likely intended for ivy, in front of the columns between the stores? Not sure how experienced this architect is at real world design ideas.
@5:40 AM: If Montgomery County was actually serious about preventing vandalism, it would put those vandals behind bars just like them for long enough so that any their friends or copycats would quickly learn what happens if they commit vandalism and not even consider doing it.
Looks great! Hope they have some good tenants lined up to fill those vacant storefronts.
