B|Bop|Q opening Friday in Bethesda

B|Bop|Q, a Korean bibimbap spin on Chipotle fast casual dining, will open this Friday, November 20, at Westfield Montgomery Mall. Their offerings include bowls, Korean tacos and wraps, and fried chicken wings and strips (sure to be compared to BonChon). Check out the menu on their website.

This is the second Asian addition to the Bethesda mall in only a week, with the recent opening of Shanghai 66.

They're also right on schedule, having promised a November opening. Hard to believe that just a couple of years ago, there were no Korean restaurants in Bethesda, and now we are finally getting a fair number of them.

I heard that Dyer thinks that "Chipotle" rhymes with "bottle".

Hopefully this is good. Looking forward to trying this.

Dumpling Dojo closed so this year has been +2 -1 for Asian eatery spots at the mall?

-2 if you count Kraze Burger.

Ah yeah that was Korean owned also, right?
So +2 -2.

Anyone ever find out what exactly happened?

Don't forget MET Bethesda

MET could be a booming biz if they added an H to their name.

WRONG!! You sure blew this one. This place isn't even close to opening. As of today, November 20, the signs still advertise for interviews. You want to do a do over?

Still haven't fessed up to the goof you made on this one I see. This place is nowhere near ready to open. BLOWN CALL DYER!

7:39: It wasn't a blown call - the restaurant owners said it was opening that day.
