Kit and Ace prepping for opening at Bethesda Row (Photos)

Kate Spade and Williams-Sonoma just opened at Bethesda Row, and now another high-end retailer is preparing to do the same. Inventory is being stocked at the new Kit and Ace leisurewear boutique at 4838 Bethesda Avenue.

The window screens were removed yesterday, revealing the interior buildout by noted local firm Teel Construction. Kit and Ace specializes in Technical Cashmere apparel.

It looks like they're very, very close to opening. Wouldn't be surprised if they opened today, in fact...

Dyer should shop there - he looks like the biggest fashion victim on the planet!

8:03: Please. Compared to what fashion plates in the local media or political machine? Good God.

Unfortunately, K+A will never survive. The Bethesda crowd is way too provincial to even think of wearing something a bit more stylish! I watched while potential customers walked in and out -- totally confused by the new styles and fabrics, and the clean (uncluttered like most stores) presentation. Tsk, shame!

Totally confused? Maybe it was just you. Ooohs and aaahs when I was there.
