Duball dubs 4990 Fairmont condo project as Cheval Bethesda

Just as demolition and construction operations are about to begin on the 4990 Fairmont luxury condo tower in downtown Bethesda, developer Duball, LLC has announced the official name of the building - Cheval Bethesda. The website for the building has gone live, as well.

Condos in the building will go on sale after groundbreaking for the project, which is scheduled to happen by the end of the year. The former BP gas station and an office building on the site will have to be demolished before excavation can begin, however.

Because it just sounds so much higher class than "Bethesda Horse".

Condo mania is heating up again.

Anyone around in the mid 2000s, with the condo preview parties, folks lining up for the first sales appointments in Arlington, etc.

From Urban dictionary'
Originally the French word for horse it is now American slang for a woman whom one dislikes or considers to be malicious or unpleasant because they have come between a once happy and serious relationship.
You and your boyfriend are in a serious relationship, and he suddenly breaks up with you. You find out later that a cheval was the reason for your parting.

Not the best name for an apartment complex. LOL

It should be required that Urban dictionary be checked before naming anything (or anyone--See spurgeon.)
