Gold Leaf Bakery to open next Saturday in Bethesda (Photos)

Gold Leaf Bakery will open in the ground floor of the Bainbridge Bethesda apartments next Saturday, May 7. The bakery is the first tenant of the building's retail space. Gold Leaf's owner previously operated the Just Chocolate Palace in Montgomery Village.

Here's a sneak peek at the interior and seating:

This is very interesting. I am in the market for a new high-end cake vendor for some of the galas I organize.

I'm hoping it won't be high end. Would be nice to have a cheaper bakery around.

@6:02 I think the Entermann's aisle at Safeway already caters to that line of business. This is Bethesda, our tastes are a little more on the refined side.

Lol poppy. I'm saddened the entenmann's outlet closed. :(

8:00AM I miss it too. The old Entenmann's is now Duck Donuts.

Opposite extremes. Super cheap and common folk and now super expensive hipster pastries. My wallet hurts as I don't care about brand name.

Those three bare metal chairs are so amazing. I won't be able to sleep tonight.
