Expect temporary lane closures on Jones Mill Road near Jones Bridge Road over the next two weeks. The closures will be due to excavation work for the Purple Line light rail project, and will occur only between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM. No Purple Line work is scheduled for New Year's Day.

North Chevy Chase seemed to fare much better than Silver Spring in the work hours for Purple Line construction. Wonder how that happened.

@11:16AM: Not soon enough. I think the station at Dorset Ave will be really popular.
We can't wait for the Purple Line station at Dorset! Great for seeing the cherry blossoms!
