Water leak on Del Ray Ave. at Old Georgetown Rd. in Bethesda

While the WSSC is digging almost nightly in downtown Bethesda to update its aging infrastructure, that infrastructure continues to fail repeatedly in the Woodmont Triangle area. Last night there was yet another water main break on Del Ray Avenue at Old Georgetown Road. It's actually been leaking for several weeks, but has worsened now. The standing water would pose a major hazard if run over during freezing temperatures. Fortunately, it is currently above freezing in Bethesda.

So which is it, a brand new leak "last night", or an old leak "for several weeks"?

That’s been leaking for at least two weeks. A joke.

Anyone who hasn't already been aware of this leak for the past several weeks, doesn't actually care about it.
