This just in: The big day is finally on the horizon at the new Levain Bakery at 4844 Bethesda Avenue. New York City's favorite cookie bakery will make its Bethesda Row debut next Tuesday, July 13, 2021. Expect lines similar to the opening of Georgetown Cupcake on the same block more than a decade ago.

I live in NY and I'll tell you there is not a weekend day that comes --Covid excepted-- when there isn't a line out the door and down the block at Levain's 74th Street shop.
