NEW SIGN INSTALLED AT SHOPPES OF BETHESDA (PHOTOS)

The renovating Shoppes of Bethesda has installed its new sign over the staircase on Elm Street. It mentions names of businesses on the Hampden Lane side of the shopping center, which also offers a surface parking lot for patrons.

Why no mention of the county liquor store?

He's still in a funk over Beerghazi.

It's a nice try but their effort seems to have fallen a bit short to really bring their property into the Bethesda Row fold. still not enticing to go up those stairs.

Bethesdans hate stairs. For other examples, see the Roof and Bubby's, Rustique and all the other places that used to be where Brickside is now.

You'd think with the all the healthy exercise spots and guns and purée and salad places they wouldn't mind a set of stairs. Lol.

But really it is a missed opportunity to expand Bethesda row to the shoppes.

@ 5:35 AM - My guess is that they're all too tired after heroically running up the entire length of the escalator at the Bethesda Metro station. Maybe that practice should be banned, so that these businesses will have some chance at success.
