Score another one for Westfield Montgomery Mall - they've just signed on a new concept from the man behind
Bob's Noodle 66 and
Bob's Shanghai 66 in Rockville. A man who's developed quite a loyal following among food critics, diners and Top 100 restaurant lists alike. That man is Ivan Liang, who
shows you one of his secrets in this Washington Post video on soup dumplings.
Now Liang is opening Shanghai 66 Innovative Kitchen in the mall's new Dining Terrace.
This move recalls Westfield's luring of popular local restaurants like Cava Mezze Grill and Hollywood East Cafe into their malls in recent years, as they attempt to broaden and expand their dining offerings.
Stay tuned for an opening timeline.

#Deadmall - have you even tried the new pizza place? Horrific!
"Bob's Noodle" sounds vaguely obscene. At least it isn't called "Uncle Bob's Noodle", that would be even worse.
6:38 You would love to taste Uncle Bob's Noodle. ;)
#Deadmall - WTH do you know about retail? Nadda. So shut the front door.
Hopefully, they keep their authentic menu and do not go full PF Changs for the Montgomery Mall crowd.
Westfield Montgomery will arguably have the best dining options in Bethesda once they're done.
Ha, both Arclight and the new restaurants are subpar. #DEADMALL
Westfield has better dining than Pike & Rose? Who would have thought it...
1:23: "Subpar"? It's an upscale cineplex with 16 screens! You're saying Cava Grill, The Cheesecake Factory and MET Bethesda, among others, are "subpar"? Are you sure you aren't George "There are no 5-star restaurants in Bethesda" Leventhal?
I love pissing dyer off #DEADMALL SUCKER!
Another great example of how the meme of "MoCo business economy is lousy" is a big fat lie.
Love the new upgrades, but man Arclight is so empty every time I go. Even weekend nights. Sad. Hopefully it lasts!!!
