Bethesda construction update: TD Bank on Wisconsin Avenue (Photos)

Two TD Bank buildings are currently rising in downtown Bethesda. This one is at 8101 Wisconsin Avenue, and like the other at Old Georgetown and Woodmont, it will be squatting on a potential high-rise redevelopment site. The rear of the property is separated from the residential neighborhood behind it by a public parking lot. 8101 Wisconsin was formerly home to downtown Bethesda's famous "Last Gas" BP station.

Any idea why the building is angles and not parallel to Wisconsin?

What a wasted lot.

Slum lords. Ban banks in Bethesda.

So stupid. Two branches 1/3 mile apart. Both in locations that could use higher density and better activate Bethesda. What a waste.

TD Bank boycott for me and anyone I can spread the word to.

Agreed. Boycotting TD Bank and advising all my clients to do the same (I am a financial advisor).

Boo TD bank. What a waste of two great lots in Bethesda that could have been used in much better ways to make the area better.
