Bethesda's Pizzeria Da Marco expanding to Germantown

Pizzeria Da Marco has stood the test of time in the competitive pizza market in downtown Bethesda. With several years of success at 8008 Woodmont Avenue, the owners are now expanding in Montgomery County.

Their first new location will be in Germantown at 20630 Seneca Meadows Parkway. It is scheduled to open on September 18. Pizzeria Da Marco specializes in Neapolitan-style pizza.

In 1889, the first person to order for pizza delivery was the queen of Italy, Margherita Savoy.

Once, I ate their pizza and it gave me diarrhea. This is a true story.

Once, I ate a pizza there, and the crust broke a filling in my tooth. True story also.

Several times, I ate the pizza and enjoyed it.

I've had mixed experiences there too. The outdoor seating is nice. Glad they are doing well enough to expand!

20630 is the Germantown Wegmans. By any chance is this place going into the former La Tagliatella location across from SmashBurger?

I answered my own question while in Germantown yesterday. The new Pizzeria Da Marco is taking over the old LaTagliatella location next door to SmashBurger and Wegmans.

We are regulars at Da Marco in Bethesda. We love it and the pizza has always been excellent. We look forward to try the Germantown location.
