Hyatt Regency Bethesda adding new restaurant, new coffee shop (Photos)

The walls have come down around the newly-remodeled ground floor of the Hyatt Regency Bethesda, and the building is starting to resemble the renderings at last. Windows have been installed, but work continues on the interior fit-out of each. According to hotel employees, the new tenants are a restaurant and a coffee shop. However, they say that even employees have not yet been told the names of either business. Work on the new driveway canopy and entrance is also progressing out in front of the hotel.

Fantastic idea to open up that corner by the metro

"...work continues on the interior fit-out of each."

What exactly does the neologism "fit-out" add to this sentence?

Does it come with a helping of asbestos exposure? They renovation has been awful and I can't believe they didn't shut down. They should replace Morton's. God, has that gone down hill.

Why has the renovation taken so long. The current restaurants must have taken a serious financial hit.

I wonder if there was a subsidy to the existing restaurants during construction?

Well, 6:39 looks kinda weird after all the deletions above it.
