SUVs go al fresco at new Koons Lincoln of Bethesda (Photos)

Last week, the first vehicles arrived in the showroom of the new Koons Lincoln of Bethesda dealership at 7315 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. Now a couple of the brand's latest SUVs are parked on the sidewalk in front of the building. In celebrating the grand opening of the dealership, Koons Lincoln donated a $5000 check to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to fund blood cancer research, and to help provide education and patient services.

Are vehicles for sale allowed to park on public right-of-ways? Not sure exactly where the property line is, but it seems odd that the county would allow a used or new car to be displayed for sale on public property. Most cities even have strict ordinances on where outdoor auto sales are allowed on private property. I saw a used Ferrari parked in that area last week.

I'm going to get a picture of my ought 8 TC right out front for posterity sake. She an heirloom at 119K mile.

Just curious, given this blog's recent report (and the many comments) on the theft of cars parked inside a local dealership, about whether these Koons display SUVs are left outside at night. I'd presume, not.

How long until thieves steal these overnight?

Right- didn't someone make a stink about the VW-Volvo dealerships on Arlington have their cars out on the sidewalk?

At the rate that cars are now being stolen in Bethesda, they won't be there for long.

Euro Motorcars Bethesda is still blocking their driveways with parked vehicles to prevent additional vehicles from being stolen. We'll see how long these Lincoln vehicles last there. Maybe nobody wants to steal a Lincoln?

Those Lincolns aren't left out overnight. I saw a guy driving them off the sidewalk and headed I assume to a garage.

@ 944 That sounds like a setup for a great joke. What'd the guy look like to you?
