The Salt Line construction resumes at Bethesda Row

Construction has resumed on The Salt Line at 4900 Hampden Lane at Bethesda Row. Demolition work on the interior left over from previous tenants began about six months after I broke the news that the popular D.C. seafood restaurant would be expanding into Montgomery County. But construction was halted in March, when co-owner Kyle Bailey announced that the opening would be delayed by up to a year, due to supply-chain issues.

Last month, I reported that the project was not only still on, but the new restaurant would be even bigger and better than originally planned. An acquisition of the dry cleaners structure next door has boosted the total floor space for The Salt Line. With work resuming now, completion of the restaurant by March 2023 is well within reach. Some activity was seen at the space this past week, but now a construction fence has been erected around the restaurant's exterior.

They're glad no doubt that the ridiculous Streetery is gone. Remove the one at Woodmont Triangle ASAP.

This place has been a long time coming. Hopefully it's not too big for the amount of business they'll get.
