Neuhaus Chocolate opening at Bethesda Row

It didn't take Federal Realty long to find a new tenant for the just-vacated Sabun Home at 7123 Bethesda Lane. Neuhaus Chocolate will be taking over the space. Founded by a Swiss immigrant in the Galeries Royales Saint Hubert in central Brussels in 1857, Neuhaus is recognized as one of the leading chocolate makers in the world.

Bloomberg Pursuits named Neuhaus truffles "the best chocolate truffle in the world" in 2017. We will find out soon enough at Bethesda Row.

Oh yay. Another chocolate store.

Is Bethesda Chocolates still around? No active website I can find and their Facebook went dormant in December.

7:18am You're smarter than the folks building new theaters in the Kentlands, Tyson's and other downtowns?

And smarter than the firm that just totally renovated the AMC Theater at Rio, right?

Mmmmm, Neuhaus. Excellent and better than Bethesda Chocolates. Bethesda Chocolates are still open although cramped by the construction. I wanted to love them, but they just don't click with me and they're more expensive than some other excellent chocolatiers (two in Frederick and a couple in Old Town Alexandria). I always prefer to keep the money local. That's the negative of Neuhaus.
