National Capital Bank of Washington plans to open a new branch in the Fox Hill senior living community at 8300 Burdette Road in Bethesda. NCB has only a few branches, and the closest one currently is in Friendship Heights, D.C. at 5228 44th Street, N.W.
While not having as many branches as some of the bigger names in banking, NCB touts itself as the "oldest bank in the District of Columbia." Several members of the bank's founding family are still on the Board of Directors today, as are representatives of Bethesda-based The Donohoe Companies and the Chevy Chase Land Company.

when all the animals have been hunted,
when all the waters are polluted,
when all the air is unsafe to breathe,
only then will you discover you cannot eat money.”
