Here's a look at the latest progress on the St. Elmo Apartments development at 4922 St. Elmo Avenue in Bethesda. It looks like work has advanced on at least the first of the four underground parking levels. There's an unusual configuration of a wall parallel to, but set back some distance from, the shored-up "wall" of the excavation alongside the Bainbridge property line. Developed by Duball, LLC, the St. Elmo will include 276 residential units, 6000 square feet of retail space, and a 220-space parking garage. It is still listed as having an anticipated delivery date of Q1 2024.

How exciting it must be for the Bainbridge Bethesda residents whose windows overlook the construction site, getting to see each day's progress as their views come ever closer to being eclipsed.
