Break-in at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda


Montgomery County police responded to a burglar alarm at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda early on the morning of July 4, 2023. The alarm was triggered at 5:53 AM Tuesday. Officers arriving at the scene found evidence of forced entry.

Not going to insult the author (thanks for all you do Robert, btw) by inquiring why the dearth of data. I'm betting our overlords somehow didn't feel a need to divulge such banal detail.

Why would the general public need to know any more information about this crime-- as opposed to, say, about car thefts, carjackings, and home burglaries, where details could actually help potential victims protect themselves?
Other than some workers at the Mall (who've probably been given more information), how many people frequent the Mail or its area that early in the morning?

Living amongst crime is the new, great equalizer. It used to be the highways but express tolls changed all that. Now it's the 'burbs. They're almost going 'door to door' in California now. Coming soon to a state near you!

Robert - how about an update on The Heights food hall in Chevy Chase? It was supposed to open in Dec., 2022 but is still under construction.
