Signage installed at Ernesta at Bethesda Row

The sign is up at Ernesta, opening this fall at 4816 Bethesda Avenue at Bethesda Row. Last night, it was already lit, and the logo really stands out well after dark. Ernesta sells carpets that are fit to purpose, rather than selling them in standard rug sizes. "One-of-a-kind style requires one-of-a-kind sizing," is one of the company's mantras.

Ernesta will offer a variety of rug materials, including ones that are suitable for outdoor use, or are pet-friendly. Design assistants will be available to guide customers in a "warm and welcoming space." Ernesta currently has only one showroom, on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. This storefront, located next to Hair Cuttery, was recently vacated by The Sill.

Maybe they could source material from the Hair Cuttery next door for the ultimate in made-to-order locally crafted textiles. :)
