Westbard Square Starbucks update (Photos)

The stand-alone Starbucks at the new Westbard Square development in Bethesda looks like it will be ready to open soon. Signage has just been installed outside the store. Inside, the interior work is finished, much of the food and beverage preparation equipment is now on the counters, menu screens are already lit up, and tables and chairs have been placed in the dining area. There is currently a Starbucks kiosk in the Giant grocery store upstairs at 5320 Zenith Overlook, but most residents are looking forward to the return of a full Starbucks store on the premises.

The Giant Starbucks is terrible, so this is a welcome addition.

Does it have (more than a few) seats? Or is this going to be another one of the "Get in, get out, get lost" new builds and remodels?

Franchise – Giant put a franchise Starbucks in its store. The employees are unionized Giant employees. It is not a “real” Starbucks. That’s why the coffee and service is not the same.

This is a separate Starbucks that will be in addition to the giant one

I am not a Starbucks fan, but thought it so odd that the one in the Giant doesn't open until 8:30AM. Must have a totally different customer base (like grocery shoppers).
