NEW ROADSIDE SIGN AT WESTFIELD MONTGOMERY MALL IN BETHESDA (PHOTOS)

The longstanding sign for Westfield Montgomery Mall by its Democracy Boulevard was recently demolished. Sure, it had gotten up there in age. But there was a more practical reason for replacing it: the sign's marquee once advertised movies playing at the mall's relatively tiny 3-screen theater. A 2014 sign at the mall is tasked with a more formidable challenge: advertise 16 movies showing at the new ArcLight Cinemas multiplex in the retail center.

While the sign is now lit, the screen at its center is not yet operating. That is where, presumably, the titles of various movies now showing will be displayed. As you can see, the sign already touts mall anchors Macy's, Sears, Nordstrom and ArcLight.

Steve, I believe I do in my files.

Well, it's good that ArcLight is an "anchor", since Sears won't be around much longer.
