Bethesda construction update: Element 28 apartments (Photos)

Kettler's Element 28 luxury apartments project is still below street level. When completed, the 15-story building at 7535 Old Georgetown Road will include a glowing leaf sculpture out front. The project includes 101 apartments, and 3500 SF of retail space.

Apparently it is a safe site, having operated over 300 days without a "lost time accident."

Element #28 is nickel.

That doesn't seem particularly glamorous, does it?

10:23: Maybe they are marketing to NIH scientists? That's definitely one of the target audiences of these new downtown residential buildings.

Can't wait for this. Hope it really helps to activate that space so close to the metro. Gives Tyber some more folks around!

Coulda used more retail in the design, though. As they all could in Bethesda. Loading docks and garage doors are going to eat up so much frontage and become block killers. :( all over Bethesda as these buildings keep popping up.
