Lucky Brand opens at Pike & Rose (Photos)

Lucky Brand has opened its new store at Federal Realty's Pike & Rose development in the Pike District. What's interesting is that Lucky is going against the recent trend of opening two (or more) stores in the Bethesda area, which is what chains like lululemon athletica, GAP, and Francesca's have been doing.

In contrast, Lucky Brand's existing store at Westfield Montgomery Mall is now walled over. Apparently, they must have felt their target audience could not sustain two stores that close together.

They been open for weeks - you're a terrible reporter.

Another great addition to Pike & Rose.

@ 7:24 AM -

Dyer is trying to bury the lede of the closing of the Montgomery Mall location.

#DeadMall

Robert Dyer said...

7:24: And has the one at Montgomery Mall been closed for weeks? No - you're a terrible commenter. Try not to write with a sneer and "resentment", and you call it.

Robert Dyer said...

8:51: Westfield will easily fill that space with a higher-rent, higher-end tenant. That's been the trend since they invested in all the improvements. The parking lot is packed. Hardly a "dead mall".

7:24am: Words you'll never see on other Bethesda news sites (other than Dyer's): "Investigation" or "Fact Check".

Now, that's bad journalism for you.

Anonymous said...

Yes, thank God for the skeptics - they need to fact-check Dyer all the time.

But are you sad that Beerghazi fizzled?

I thought Lucky Brand was a high end tenant? The kind a place like Pike & Rose might go for.

Robert Dyer said...

10:23: And they've come up with zero in all their fact-checking attempts. Hans Riemer's DLC scandal hasn't fizzled anymore than Watergate has. It remains an active scandal that no media outlet except this one has questioned so far. When the Post or Gazette does a full investigation into what Riemer knew, and when knew it, and nothing happens - only then can you claim it has fizzled.

Riemer will come up with some other crazy initiative and deliver no results like he always does. Nightlife Economy anyone?
Wish the guy would work on some meaningful issues this term.

Lol. Dyer just admitted his reports that don't go anywhere don't count as a fizzle. Implying his own worth. That's unfortunate, I like his blog.

"Dismissed for lack of evidence" is more proof of the scale and the sheer evilness of the conspiracy.

Robert Dyer said...

2:39: The reports didn't fizzle, and the Hans Riemer DLC scandal hasn't fizzled. It's the local press that fizzled, by trying to protect a fake progressive funded by Wall Street crooks who are creating more jobs in China than America.

Robert Dyer said...

4:01: Who "dismissed" it? The DLC question regarding what Riemer knew of the criminal activity, and whether he covered it up until the election was over, has never gone before a judge or even a Post or Gazette reporter. A case has to be taken up before it can be dismissed.

Robert Dyer said...

4:02: I'm informing the public and serving the role of activist and journalist. What have you done today, get coffee for Hans Riemer?

Anonymous said...

If it hasn't fizzled then who's talking about it other than you?

9:09 PM - "[It] has never gone before a judge or even a Post or Gazette reporter. A case has to be taken up before it can be dismissed."

Welcome to the Mirror Universe.

9:11 PM - Dyer is saying "I DO have a job! I DO! I DO!! I DO!!!"

Dyer seems to think that our American system of justice is based on the principle of "guilty until proven innocent".

He needs to take Justice 101.

5:04am is at least consistent. Always hating on locally based small businesses. :/

Anonymous said...

Given that 8:44 AM's comment has nothing to do with the comment of 5:04 AM, he appears to be one of Dyer's fellow passengers on the short bus.

Anonymous said...

Given 11:37am's comments have nothing to do with Lucky Brand...

Robert Dyer said...

7:53: Your system is that the trial never takes place, and therefore Riemer never faces a "guilty" verdict.

Robert Dyer said...

5:04: Your "job" is getting coffee for Hans Riemer as his overpaid operative.

Robert Dyer said...

3:47: So you're saying rape victims' cases "fizzle" when local media and law enforcement in college towns protect their football star rapists? Just because Riemer's DLC scandal is being swept under the rug by local media hardly proves he is innocent. Surprised you'd defend a fake progressive funded by Wall Street crooks. Says a lot about you.

So, in addition to being the unelected Councilman-at-large on the Montgomery County Council, Dyer is also the unelected State's Attorney for Montgomery County.

But it seems that he didn't actually follow how the Duke and UVA cases ended.

Robert Dyer said...

8:38: "Duke and UVA"?! What do they have to do with Lucky Brand jeans?

Anonymous said...

After nine off-topic rants, Dyer suddenly wants to jump back to the topic. LOL

Robert Dyer said...

2:02: You're the one who went off topic. An idiot who pontificates - sounds like you might have a future on the County Council.

Dyer you're pathetic. No one likes you. They use you for when you provide semi relevant info to their lives.

We despise you - we control the media in this town. MoCo machine 4 eva dawg!

Anonymous said...

All hail the MoCo machine - the most blessed, loving, caring machine in all the land.

Let us pray to the god of MoCo - the machine is your tool, your instrument to ensure that Dyer will never hold office.

In your name I'd give my life. Join us and feel the love of the Moco machine Dyer - we accept all.

4:24 PM is a good writer. If history repeats, he may get tapped to start a Bethesda blog.

Just don't question anything and you'll be just fine.

Anonymous said...

Higher rent and quality than something like Lucky Brand? How is that not High end enough for the mall demographics?

4:24:

You forgot the end of your last sentence (you know ... the miniscule print): "- we accept all cash, checks, credit cards, travelers'checks, tropical fruit baskets, Leo Sayer collections, backyard roosters, uprooted U.S.P.S. mailbox recepticles and Kool-Aid."

Anonymous said...

"Miniscule" means lower-case. The phrase that you want is "fine print".
