Silver restaurant opens employment office on Bethesda Ave. (Photos)

You might be forgiven for thinking Silver had opened yesterday on Woodmont Avenue. Outdoor dining tables were outside on the sidewalk patio space, despite the fact the restaurant isn't opening until September.

What's really going on, is they are interviewing prospective employees around the corner at 4733 Bethesda Avenue. There they have established a temporary recruitment center in a JBG-owned retail space. But at least we got a preview of what the outdoor patio furniture may look like when Silver opens in the Flats at Bethesda Avenue.

Here's the news I broke a couple of days ago on the interior design and menus for Silver, in case you missed it.

Nice to see the old Thai Corner site finally being put to some use. It's been closed for over five years now, yet they just left all the stuff there like the staff had just gone on vacation or something.

Now I can't tell the chilling tale of the Haunting of Thai Corner, where a family -- much like ours -- vanished while visiting their Bethesda-based cousin.

A year later their bodies washed up on the shore of Reunion Island, along with all those zombie vacuum cleaners from the old repair shop at the corner of Old Georgetown and Wilson.

Apparently JBG is starting work on this renovation soon! Can't wait!

I'll be an excited woman waiting in live at their employment office

Hi Ho Silver!! :)
