12 BCC students given Breathalyzer test at Homecoming dance
punishment being overturned by then-Montgomery County Public Schools superintendent Larry Bowers, how did things go at the BCC Homecoming dance this past Saturday? Twelve students were pulled aside by MCPS security, who determined they smelled of alcohol upon their arrival at the event, according to an MCPS spokesperson.
Gboyinde Onijala, a senior communications specialist with MCPS' Department of Public Information, said that the Breathalyzer tests were administered by Montgomery County police officers. Officials did not say how students who were determined to be under the influence were punished.
